Questions worth keeping

You can ask for a clearer answer. Keep the words that help, and leave room for the question that belongs to your situation.

Can online care lead to a prescription?

Controlled drugs have extra government tracking because they can be misused.

For non-controlled medicines, federal law has no general rule requiring an in-person visit before prescribing (as of September 26, 2026).

Online care must still follow state rules and meet the medical needs of the person being assessed.

Ask how the service checks whether online care fits the assessment you need.

Will I need blood tests?

The federal prescription rules do not require everyone to have a blood test first (checked September 26, 2026).

The medicine’s own rules, the state’s rules or what the person treating you finds during your assessment may still mean you need tests.

Ask what each proposed test will help decide and who explains the result.

Is medicine made to order the same as an approved generic?

A generic medicine copies a brand-name drug and has its own approval.

This answer uses FDA for the Food and Drug Administration, the agency that regulates US medicines. Compounded medicine means medicine a doctor or pharmacy makes to order. That medicine has no FDA approval (checked September 26, 2026).

Calling that made-to-order medicine a generic version of an approved drug misleads people, the FDA says.

Ask the pharmacist to explain the exact product rather than relying on a short label on a sales page.

Does membership pay for the medicine?

Several offers in the September 26, 2026 weight-care check treated medicine as a charge beyond membership.

Ask for an itemised quote that covers the visit, medicine, tests and follow-up. Keep any missing price as an open question.

  • Which problem would this plan address for me?
  • Could we compare this medicine with the other choices?
  • Which pharmacy will fill the prescription?
  • What is the full bill after any offer?
  • How do I reach the person handling follow-up?
